Company Description

History and Education Established in 1995, the Department of Textile Engineering continues its undergraduate education through a full-time daytime program. While the curriculum was conducted entirely in Turkish until 2010, the program has been implemented with a minimum 30% English content since the 2010-2011 academic year. A two-semester English Preparatory Program is available for students who do not meet the required language proficiency levels prior to commencement. Our department, which holds the MÜDEK Accreditation Certificate and the EUR-ACE Label, consists of two major sub-disciplines:

  • Division of Textile Technology: Fiber Technology, Fabric Technology, Apparel Technology, Quality Control, and Textile Machinery & Technology.
  • Division of Textile Sciences: Textile Materials, Textile Physics, and Dyeing & Finishing Technology.

Educational Objectives The primary objective of the Textile Engineering program is to cultivate engineers who are proficient in vocational and technical fields and capable of meeting the global requirements of the profession. The curriculum is designed to provide a comprehensive engineering education through core courses in mathematics, natural sciences, fundamental engineering, and textile engineering, complemented by social science electives. Our graduates are expected to be equipped with modern technological knowledge and engineering tools to identify, analyze, and solve complex problems encountered in their professional careers. Furthermore, our education and internship programs are structured to enhance students' communication and teamwork skills while fostering ethical responsibility in both professional and social life.

Admission Requirements For admission to the program, candidates must possess a high school diploma and achieve a sufficient score in the national Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS).

Graduation Requirements & Regional Significance Denizli serves as a prominent global hub for textile and apparel production. The existence of this program is vital and necessary for meeting the demand for qualified human resources on a regional, national, and international scale, as well as for advancing technological research and development potential.

Career Opportunities Graduates may pursue careers in various departments of private textile organizations, including production, strategic planning, and marketing. Additionally, they are eligible for employment as expert engineers within public institutions and government agencies.
