'COOL-MOD' is a modal/recycled polyester blend that provides superior moisture management, a nature friendly woven fabric that provides high comfort for active wear. The 100% modal yarn used in its weaving is 40/1, and the certified recycled 100% polyester yarn is 20 denier fine. It has been made functional with a sustainability-oriented approach from fiber selection to finalization. It is environmentally friendly as the chemicals used during its production are obtained from bio-based and partially recycled sources. Modal fiber in the fabric composition maintains environmental balance during production and shows some moisture transfer properties during use. Polyester fiber is completely recyclable. The high moisture management achieved thanks to special finishing applications designed to support the moisture management effect provided by this special construction continues its effect for up to twenty-five washings. This environmentally friendly fabric quickly carries perspiration away from the skin and onto its surface, helping it to evaporate quickly. This provides the body with a feeling of dryness, comfort and coolness. Additionally, this quick drying effect will save time in daily life. Our university accepts using fiber produced with environmentally friendly and recycling technologies, developing innovative constructions and sustainable processes in this and similar R&D studies as both scientific and environmental responsibility.
