While European Union countries and neighboring regions continued to play a key role in Türkiye’s woven fabric exports, fast delivery times, flexible production capabilities, and geographic proximity remained among the main factors supporting competitiveness. Southern European and North African markets were particularly influential in export performance.
Notable Growth in the Top 10 Markets
Between January and November 2025, Spain ranked first among Türkiye’s woven fabric export destinations. Spain was followed by Morocco, Egypt, and Italy. Within the top 10 markets, Egypt and Bulgaria stood out with export growth exceeding 40%. This increase strengthened Türkiye’s position as a key supplier in North Africa, while also indicating accelerating market penetration in Eastern Europe.
By product group, cotton woven fabrics and woven fabrics made from synthetic and artificial filament (SSE) yarns accounted for the largest shares of exports. While SSE filament woven fabrics maintained their leading position, cotton woven fabrics remained among the main drivers of exports thanks to their high value-added production capacity and wide range of applications.
Among sub-product groups, exports of woven fabrics made from vegetable fibers, wool, and silk showed notable growth. In particular, the rise in silk woven fabric exports pointed to continued demand for high value-added and specialty products.
